Erasmus+ Placement

Faculty of Medicine accepts Erasmus+ students for placement. Generally students are accepted for clinical practice or research. During the academic year priority is given to the Study exchange students. Erasmus+ students for placement are accepted as well during the summer months (June till September).

Erasmus+ placement students have to submit their application in the same deadlines as the Erasmus+ Study exchange students if they want to do their clinical practice during the academic year. Due to a large number of incoming students we only accept placement students from our partner universities.

SUMMER ELECTIVES

During the summer we have more available free places at the clinics so we as well accept students from non-partner universities. Students are allowed to apply for the clinical placement if they are in their last year of Medicine or if they at least have the basic theoretical knowledge in the fields where they want to do the clinical elective. We offer during July - September the following clinical electives:

Internal medicine (minimum duration of stay are 2 weeks)

Cardiology,
Haematology,
Nephrology,
Endocrinology,
Rheumatology,
Pulmonology,
Gastroenterology

Surgery (minimum duration of stay are 3 weeks)

Traumatology
General/Abdominal Surgery
Oncological surgery
Urology
Cardiovascular Surgery
Thoracic Surgery
Plastic Surgery
Neurosurgery

Pediatrics (3-week course: 11. 8. - 29. 8. 2025)

Gynaecology and Obstetrics (3-week course in September: 1. 9. - 19. 9. 2025)

practice in G&O can be as well arranged in the time periode June - September 2024 (3 places available per week)

Please apply through the online application until the end of January. Make sure you will as well upload all neccessary documents (learning agreement for training, transcript of records and english certificate).
