The Faculty of Medicine collaborates in the provision of two interdisciplinary Master’s courses.
Cognitive Science
Cognitive science is an interdisciplinary area of study that researches such cognitive aspects of the human mind as perception, decision-making, thinking, feeling, behaviour and so on. Neuroscience, artificial intelligence, biology, linguistics, anthropology, philosophy, and psychology form the basic disciplines within this programme. Cognitive science also involves research into the usefulness of cognitive models in different areas (interface-planning, measuring of user experience, teaching, the management of group processes, administration) and in modern technologies.
The Cognitive Science course is interdisciplinary in nature. Studies at the University of Ljubljana are part of the international study consortium Middle European Interdisciplinary Master’s Programme in Cognitive Science. University of Ljubljana Master’s degrees in Cognitive Science are awarded on behalf of all members of the MEi:CogSci consortium:

• Comenius University in Bratislava
• Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest
• University of Ljubljana.
The Faculty of Medicine is one of the course providers within the University of Ljubljana.
